On September 17th, as the third party assessment agency, the assessment team from Peking University appointed by Beijing Municipal Social Organization Management Office evaluated the work of Beijing Construction Decoration Association at site. The assessment team is composed of 6 members including associate professor Yuan Ruijun and Ju Hua. Chairman Li Jiefeng led the expert group and association leaders including Wu Guoxing, the former chairman, Guo Renzhi, the consultant, Zhang Jishi, the deputy executive chairman, Su Guoyi, the deputy chairman and Wang Yuerong, the deputy secretary to attend the evaluation report-back meeting.

First of all, professor Wu from the assessment team introduced the requirements and procedures of the assessment. Then Wu Guoxing, the member of association expert group and former chairman reported the detailed preparation for the assessment and work situation in recent years. According to him, in order to welcome the assessment and retain the status of “5A” level social organization, Beijing Construction Decoration Association went into action from top to bottom, assigned special tasks to different departments according to the assessment requirements and prepared the detailed assessment data.

When talking about the main work done by the association in recent years, he said that in order to play a better role of bond and bridge, the association has actively explored new work conceptions and set up 6 awarenesses and 7 platforms. The 6 awarenesses mainly include having the awareness of service by resolving general problems in the industry, having the awareness of innovation by establishing financial service committee and college students employment alliance, having the awareness of credit by showing credibility to member enterprises and selecting municipally and nationally best “ persistence on standards”, having the awareness of brand by launching design exhibition, improving training and help the public solve consumption disputes, having the awareness of self-reliance by promoting the work and lead the industrial development and having the awareness of operation by considering thoroughly, conducting well industrial research and development planning.

Setting up 7 platforms mainly include: Set up the platform of communication. According to the actual situations, take the initiative to make reports to competent governmental departments and win governmental support in order to resolve significant issues in the industry and exclude difficulty and anxiety for the government. Set up the communication platform by holding deputy executive chairman meeting and establishing enterprise development research institute. Set up the cooperation platform. For example, cooperate with the Singaporean Building and Construction Authority. A delegation goes to Singapore to attend the international green building conference every year and attends green environmental protection exhibition held in China by Singapore. Get to know the latest status of green environmental protection construction in different countries and new technologies. Cooperate with Shanghai and Liaoning association to conduct regional communication. Set up the platform of sourcing materials. For material supplying enterprises, it is not simply reduce the quantity but to increase technological content and reduce the purchasing cost for enterprises. Set up the financial service cooperation platform by solving the difficulty in raising loans. Set up the training platform. The bottleneck of industrial development is talent. Great efforts will be made to train professionals. Set up the information platform by establishing information committee, promoting new BIM technological application and informatization construction in enterprises.

According to the on-site assessment procedures, the assessment team will evaluate the data handed over from 7 aspects including fundamental conditions and internal administration, financial management, work performance, industrial and social impact, learning organization construction and excelling in competition and made reports respectively on the observed data. The assessment team gave high recognition to the work done by Beijing Construction Decoration Association.
