Beijing Huaiyangfu Hotel is a high-end hotel mainly selling Huaiyang dishes, one of the four cuisines in China. It covers a construction area of 2780 square meters and its design starts from four aspects, including Jiangnan style architecture, gardens, humanistic concerns and arts, dominated by Chinese style. First of all, the representative visual elements, including green bricks, grey tiles, white walls, were chosen as main decoration tone. Secondly, elaborate layout of old-style pattern is adopted to realize proportion, elegance and sobriety, making the customers walking through the hall feel like entering a courtyard of celebrities of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It also incorporates technique of Chinese classical gardens, such as open frames, pavilions, short sketches, dotted with stacked stone, bamboo and vine ornament. By borrowed distant scenery, contrastive scenery and changed scenery at every step, the hotel creates a kind of mystery with bright landscape along quiet meandering narrow paths. On the third floor, there are small bridge, waterfall, and verandas for the guests to walk on. In terms of its soft decoration, its public area such as lobby and corridors are ornamented with paintings and poems of 8 eccentric geniuses in ancient Yangzhou, as well as lacquer paintings and sculptures. Compartments are enlivened and softened by bead curtains and gauze. The biggest luxurious compartment, Qingyun Room is festooned with specially designed lanterns with auspicious cloud pattern and its floor covered with carpet.
