As one of the important events to show economic and social development of Yangzhou and improve its international image, “Flowery March” International Trade & Tourism Conference has become an annual grand event for Yangzhou people and has been held annually in the last 12 year. It’s an honor for this conference to have its opening ceremony of this year was held in the South Street Book House constructed by our company.

The South Street Book House Hotel (located at 309 Dongguan Street, Yangzhou) is one of the famous sight spots in Yangzhou with east to Xuejia Lane, north to Dongguan Street, south to Weijaijing and west to Mafang Lane. It once acted as the residential garden of Family Ma Salt Merchants during the periods of Yongzheng and Qianlong Emperors in Qing Dynasty.
Occupying an area of about 18,000 square kilometers, and a construction area of about 8,200 square kilometers, the Book House Hotel has renovations of 2,870 square kilometers and new construction of 5,306 square kilometers, both of which are built according to its original composition, style and profile, so as to keep its original appearance. The renovations are implemented in a manner of “uncovering tile without removing temporary support”, while those with problems are repaired on a partial demolition basis so that the original wall structure can be retained to the largest extent.
After the ceremony, all present guests visited the well-known “Twelve Sceneries in South Street” including the Pretty Guesthouse, the Looking at Mountains Tower, the Vine Hut, the Library Tower and the Finding Phrases Corridor and, praised highly of the unique architectural ornament of the South Street Book House Hotel as it further enriches the cultural features of Yangzhou and improves the city’s culture-oriented travel potential.
