China Decor Wins the 2012 Award of Building Engineering Decoration of China Again

The decoration projects of Beijing Huaiyangfu and Yancheng Municipal Merchant Center Building contracted by China National Decoration Co., Ltd. were awarded the “2011-2012 Award of Building Engineering Decoration of China”, with the former garnering the prizes of national decoration of public buildings and national decorative design of public buildings and the latter winning the prize of national decoration of public buildings.

The project of Huaiyangfu is located in the north of west gate of Ditan Park, Dongcheng District, Beijing. The building functions as hotel and occupies an area of 4,500 m2 which is as high as 13 m with three floors above ground. The overall style of the design is traditional Chinese which has penetrated into the buildings, gardens, culture and art of the regions south of the Yangtze River.

The well-proportioned Huaiyangfu is of great decency and elegance which has extracted the representative visual elements from historic buildings of regions south of the Yangtze River, such as the main decoration technique of black brick, grey tile, white wall, cornice, tile carving and woodcut and also learned from the meticulous structure of the Salt Merchant Lu's Residence and common dwellings in Yangzhou. The leaking window, pavilion and small bridge are designed in a coordinated manner ornamented with rockery, bamboo and vine, which creates a mysterious sense of gloom and bloom combined with the borrowed scenery, opposite scenery and one step one scenery.

Yancheng Municipal Merchant Center Building covering an area of 85,261 m2 is located in the north of East Park, Eastern Yuhe, Economic Development Zone, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Focusing on briefness and utility, the design adopts simple decoration skill which helps elevate the broadness of interior space. The overall design is decent and appropriate.

On the principle of people orientation, the Merchant Center Building emphasizes the design of humanization, which not only reflects the style of decency and grace, but also makes full use of the elements and stuffs of color, materials and lighting source to create a sprightly and compatible atmosphere. The decoration of sector intervals is centered on lively and smooth dot lines with occasionally setting some accessories and ornaments in turning points to activate atmosphere, which also reminds the visitors of the sector changes and helps guide direction. Then the sector exchange becomes smooth, convenient and reasonable.

We feel honorable to win this award again, but also feel more responsible. We will continue to make efforts to design more works of energy conservation, environmental protection, utility and beauty and make contributions to the sustainable development of the industry.
