Symposium on "Performance Excelling"-"Learning of Yang Shanzhou’s Life Story" Held by Party Committee of SINODECOR

Recently, Hu Jintao, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the PRC and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, gave important speech to require numerous party members to learn from Comrade Yang. General Secretary Hu has pointed out that Yang is the model for party members to study and the excellent representative among retired veteran cadres, who is loyal to the Party's cause and dedicated to the interests of the masses all his life. As of his moving exemplary deeds and lofty spirit, all Party members and cadres, especially leaders, must learn from him, cultivate their Party spirit and practice the purpose of the Party consciously, trying to be the satisfactory members and cadres.

In response to the call of the Chinese Central Committee, symposium on “learning of Yang Shanzhou’s Life Story”, taken as an important part in the "Performance Excelling" by SINODECOR in 2011, was held by the its Party committee on the learning date for Party members in April, and all party members and prospective applicants have attended it.

For this, full preparation is done by the Party committee of SINODECOR and Yang’s life story and a series of small moving stories are organized, extracted and compiled systematically.

In learning of the parts of "Never Retirement of the Membership of Party Members – Exploration of Yang’s View of Life," "The Party’s and the People’s Ownership for the Power-Understanding of Yang's View of Power", "Dedication of Limited Life to Unlimited Cause – Realization of Yang’s View of Cause" and so on, all participants are moved by his story of dedicating his 22 years after retirement to Da Liang Mountain day and night in efforts to turn the barren hill into green oasis without requirements for return, and come to realize the kind of firm belief and view of life of communism of Yang.

When it comes to Yang’s pure-hearted and profound mottos, including "Party Members Being Kept Their Word, and No Fooling to the Masses", "Taking Promise-Kept as a Minimum Standard for Ourselves", "Easier Said than Done", "Morale being the first before anything" etc., unlimited admiration and respect are generated by participants from Yang’s simple, touching and great deeds, as well his lofty spirit, by which, the participants are also motivated and inspirited.

During the symposium, participants have said that: "We, as for Yang’s deeds, still have a long way to catch up with him, therefore, we must learn from him of his political characters of firm belief and loyalty to the Party, bear in mind the purpose of the Party, the people-oriented feelings of public servants and the lofty realm of dedicated efforts and unremitting struggle, as well the dedication of selflessness and indifferent to fame and wealth, thus practicing the value of life and spiritual pursuit of Communists consciously to meet the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China(CPC) with more excellent results."
