Mr.Xin Interviewed by Interior Architecture of China

On April 1 of 2011, Xin Jianlin, Vice General Manager of China National Decoration Co., Ltd. (CNDC), was interviewed by the journalist of “Interior Architecture of China”.

This interview focused on the topic of residence industrialized development strategy on the basis of the concept for new residence – “Water, Land, Energy and Material Saving and Environmental Protection” as promoted by the government, where Mr. Xin discussed development prospect of CNDC and the industry from the perspective of decoration and design.

“Extraordinary Work” Originates from Scientific Management

The popular environmental-friendly and energy-saving concepts aims to transform traditional building and residence industry with modern technology along with technological advancement, and allow more contribution of technological advancement made to residence industry through standard design, industrialized production, large promotion and application of 4-NEWs (new technology, new materials, new techniques, new equipment) and as a result to promote productivity in construction and management and overall building quality.

Mr. Xin takes refined projects of Tian An Men Square Electronic Displays Project, Yangzhou State Guesthouse Decoration Project, and Salt Dealer Lu’s Mansion Repair Project as examples and explains how the project management team of CNDC completes tasks in an extraordinary way and gets highly recognized by the owners under limitation of space, investment, materials, and techniques, by virtue of scientific management, the technical process of site assembly, and effective application of energy-saving and environmental-friendly concepts.

Diversified Development of Talents to Build Effects of CNDC

Design has always been the core in building decoration industry, and it’s a problem prevailing in this industry to find an effective way to manage a personalized artistic team full of all kinds of new ideas to realize “one package service of design and decoration”. Mr. Xin, by combination of his abundant experience in project supervision and giving lectures in Renmin University of China, suggests design talents from colleges be closely combined with social and industrial practice to find out highlight and classic elements from excellent design cases and focus on market survey and collection of materials from all sources; also he suggests enterprises give sufficient space to designers for thinking and imagination and encourage them to participate more in construction practice to know systematic production and application process of new materials, techniques, and equipment, so as to provide a stable platform and prospective development opportunity to attract artistic designers.

Mr. Xin stresses that implementation of “one package service of design and decoration” strategy by building decoration enterprises must be guaranteed by fulfillment of three fundamental requirements: 1) a stable design team of high strength is required to be the solid foundation; 2) substantive and diversified design is required; 3) income shall coincide with ability. Only if such three requirements are met, excellent talents can be maintained to carry out supporting work and enable the enterprise to build its effects on talents.

Do Creatively!

As to sustainable development of CNDC and the industry, Mr. Xin says confidently: “Our future efforts would focus on doing creatively!” The next step would be enhancement of the design team qualification, and efforts would be made on integration and promotion of design, decoration, supporting construction, and processing base; besides, knowledge of upfront workers on new technology and techniques would be increased by training and self-learning, so as to promote application of technology in the entire work.

Under the trend of energy-saving, low carbon, and environmental-friendly practice, energy saving or “green building” have long become common topics in the industry. CNDC, as the industrial representative of supporting green and energy-saving building, also positively corresponds to the call of competent authorities and has been invited to “China-Singapore Green Building Forum 2010” jointly organized by Beijing Construction Decoration Association and Building & Construction Authority of Singapore and “Signing Ceremony of MOU on Green Building Cooperation Project” held on March 28, 2011.
