Release time:
2010-12-10
On November 15, 2010, a fire hit an apartment building in Jiaozhou Road, Shanghai, leaving 53 residents dead. Lack of building inspection system for fire protection reflected in this disaster reminds us of the importance of regular building inspection for fire protection in our construction. In addition, as winter is forthcoming, it’s more important to strengthen daily inspection on the construction site.
Recently, SINODECOR cooperated with Municipal Safety Supervision Station to hold safe production conferences in each project team in order to follow the directives on safe construction issued by Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Beijing Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, where each project team was required to get relevant experience and rectify fire protection measures on the site, including safety inspection of work without fire protection, electrical and heating safety in temporary houses, so as to eliminate all potential dangers. Besides, general contractor responsibility and the owner supervision system is carried out to specify responsibility of each position.
All the staff positively carried out and persisted in regular inspection system for fire protection, aiming to eliminate any potential safety hazard on the construction site.
