Introduction to Yangzhou Salt Dealer Lu’s Mansion Repair Pr

Yangzhou salt dealer Lu’s mansion repair project is an ancient building repair project undertaken by 9th branch of the Company, and the mansion is a municipal-level protected historic site. Lu (Shao Xu) ever acted as Salt Business Director in Fu’an Saltworks, Taizhou Branch of Huaiyin-Huai’an Salt Transport Bureau during the reign by Guangxu in Qing Dynasty.

 

Lu’s mansion was built in 23rd Year of Guangxu’s reign in Late Qing Dynasty with a total investment of 78,000 Liang (3,900kg) of silver, covering an area of nearly 10,000m2, including over 130 rooms, above 80% of which adopted wood structure with light blue tiles, grey walls, lofts and alcoves, ponds and stone boats, presenting a primitive and elegant style characteristic of Chinese ancient culture and atmosphere, and was a rare private mansion in Qing Dynasty with features of south of Yangtze River. The mansion now is operated and managed by Yangzhou Yangtze Group, mainly engaged in catering and tea business. It’s also called as “Hundred-dinner Hall” for a large number of yards and broad and big rooms.

 

The project has a high technical requirement with large safety responsibilities, as the Company needs to keep original style of the mansion while repairing some old parts, and also needs to make bold innovation and utilize modern decoration to renew the mansion, so that guests can enjoy both ancient style and modern civilization while entering into the mansion. In terms of safety management, the Company focuses on fire protection, safe use of electricity, and fall prevention based on the project features, and has prepared education summaries and safety instructions emphasizing on above three subjects. At present, construction is now in progress, and we’re confident to do well in quality, safety, and progress to complete this project successful satisfactorily.
