Through nearly 10 years of rapid development, China fiberglass industry tops the world in scale, and the product quality also reaches classic world level.

China fiberglass industry even has been involved in foreign anti-dumping investigation: on January 8, Ministry of Commerce of India issued the notice to initiate anti-dumping investigation against China fiberglass products; on January 22, Ministry of Foreign Trade of Turkey declared the initiation of anti-dumping investigation against fiberglass products exported from China.

It's understood that foreign anti-dumping investigation on fiberglass has started since last year. On December 17, 2009, European Commission issued the notice to initiate anti-dumping investigation against fiberglass products exported from China.

It’s very rare to see such frequent initiation of anti-dumping investigation against one industry in China, especially on such a dense basis. “Now we are adopting necessary measures through some effective channels to respond to these anti-dumping investigations.” Zhang Fuxiang (Secretary-general of China Fiberglass Industry Association) says to our journalist in an interview.

Zhang indicates that at present, many anti-dumping investigations are promoted by some foreign enterprises, so China will adopt different measures based on different conditions. As No. 1 fiberglass production and consumption country in the world, China fiberglass industry is closely related to world fiberglass industry, and the anti-dumping investigation against China will finally end up with lose-lose situation: both China fiberglass industry and foreign upstream and downstream industries related to fiberglass industry will be affected.

Some insider indicates that through nearly 10 years of rapid development, China fiberglass industry tops the world in scale, and the product quality also reaches classic world level. Meanwhile, owing to relatively advanced production technology, the product price will also be advantageous. In such a case, some foreign competitors become anxious, and there’s no wonder to see endless emergence of anti-dumping investigations. Anyway, the developing and prospering fiberglass industry in China will still have infinite potential and a bright future.
