Employees in China Decor Make Enthusiastic Contributions to the Earthquake Relief Work

On April 20th, 2013, a violent 7.0 magnitude earthquake took place in Lushan County, Ya’an, Sichuan Province, which aroused attention of the whole nation. As the old saying goes, “one disasterattracts help from around the world”, Chinese National Decoration Co., Ltd. (China Decor) immediately shouldered its social responsibilities. The executive committee of the company convened an emergency conference to discuss the donation to Ya’an for relief work. They wished to express their great care to the people in Ya’an in a fastest and most effective way.

According to the unified arrangement, the Party committee of the company made a proposal, calling for the entire workforce to “take actions, get unified and make contributions to the relief work of the disaster”. Led by company leaders, Party members and key employees, staff in China Decor started to make their own contributions. The collected donation from the office staff in the headquartersonly totaled almost RMB 10,000 in just one day.

On April 23rd, the Party committee of the company sent all the donations to Red Cross Society of Beijing, entrusting the Red Cross to send the money to the quake-stricken area.
