Just as the old Chinese saying goes,  “one in difficulty gets help from all walks”, All employees of China Decoration, after being informed of Ya’an Earthquake disaster in Sichuan Province, proactively denoted philanthropic money, contributing their love and money in their reach to help the victims overcome hardship and reconstruct their homelands by actions. Labor Union of the company, promptly contacted Beijing Red Cross Fund (BRCF), to discuss handover of charity fund donated by employees and the company to BRCF.

On April 23th, Mr. Wu Lie, Secretary of Party Committer of the company, Chairman of Labor Union, also Deputy General Manager, went to attend the release meeting on Ya’an Earthquake Rescue and Relief, and on behalf of the company and all employees, transferred charity fund of RMB 100,000 to BRCF which will dispatch the money to disaster region.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Wu, on behalf of all employees of China Decoration, expressed deep concern about the situation in the disaster region, briefed the company’s urgent donation activity, and entrusted BRCF to deliver the good will of China Decoration’s staff to people in earthquake region. “China decoration has always been trying hard in its reach to do something as return to the society, fulfill corporate social responsibility. All employees, together with our company, extend our love and warm concern to people in disaster region with our action to help them pull through difficulties”, Mr. Wu said. Mr. Liu Hui, President of BRCF, asked Mr. Wu to extend his gratitude to China Decoration and all of its employees, with an honor certificate awarded to China Decoration.

A BRCF officer in charge of charity fund said that the money donated will be supervised and put in good use as usual, and the process of utilizing the money will be strictly monitored as to achieve a transparent process of collection, management and utilization of charity fund. All collected fund and materials, he mentioned, would be released to the people who need them most. At the same time, he added, fund collection and release would be publicized in a real-time dynamic fashion for public supervision.
