Li Jiefeng Attended 6th Session of 5th Executive Vice Chairman Joint Council

At 2:00 p.m. on March 22nd, 2013, the sixth session of the fifth Executive Vice Chairman Joint Council of Beijing Construction Decoration Association (BCDA) was successfully held in the conference hall of Honggao Group Co., Ltd. Leaders of BCDA including Mr. Wang Zongli, Honorary Chairman, Mr. Wu Guoxing, Chairman, Mr. Guo Renzhi, Mr. Wang Jianzhong and Mr. Zhang Jishi, Vice Chairmen, and Mr. Gao Jian, Vice Secretary General, together with executive vice chairmen and directors of BCDA’s branches attended this council. Mr. Li Jiefeng, Chairman of China National Decoration Co., Ltd, also attended this session hosted by Honggao Group, member of vice chairmen and presided over by Mr. He Ning, Chairman and Executive Chairman of this council.

At the beginning of this session, the list of newly added executive vice chairmen was approved after voting. Then all attendees discussed in depth and voted on preparation work to establish a design industry alliance, industrial talent development and occupational title assessment, and decoration materials centralized procurement platform. Besides, they shared experience and ideas on competition and standards of decoration industry, construction safety norms, enterprise operation, ways to promote the overall construction and design skills of this industry, and ways to develop the win-win cooperation pattern.

Subsequently, Chairman Li Jiefeng made a speech on preparation work for establishment of Financial Commission. Firstly he reported the overall preparation work and current necessity to establish this financial platform. Particularly, there were some value-added services which are of great importance for both enterprises and investment and financing institutes. As Chairman Li said, “in order to further promote the overall healthy development of building decoration industry in Beijing, after negotiations and consultation with banks and government authorities, we have primarily worked out the credit instruction specific to our own industry, which can provide a wide range of financial products and high-quality financial services for enterprises in our industry.” He also emphasized that establishment of Financial Commission was just the first step to develop financing brand. Afterwards, various financing products and solutions would be explored in accordance with operation features of building decoration industry with respect to design & construction, market development, merger & acquisition and integration & outsourcing, one-stop financing service would be provided and excellent financing brands valuable in terms of practice and development would be created.

The speech made by Chairman Li got a warm response from all attendees who had high expectation on this financial platform. They all agreed that this platform could help with the achievement of resource sharing, information exchange and win-win cooperation, which would benefit healthy development of building decoration industry in Beijing. Meanwhile they also anticipated that the Financial Commission’s service function could be strengthened as a bridge after its establishment, which brings benefits, opportunities and development for decoration industry, and practically meets the financing demand of enterprises. Operation risks should be minimized according to market laws, and various financing channels should be developed in collaboration between all entities, so as to establish green channel for enterprise financing, develop financial products in accordance with features of building decoration industry that could meet enterprises’ demand for capital for further development.

In the conclusion remarks, Chairman Wu Guoxing commented that Executive Vice Chairman Joint Council had played an important positive role in development of decoration industry and the BCDA. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to all attendees for their active participation in the discussion of industrial development and their support for the development of BCDA. As stressed in his remarks, the next key point of BCDA’s work was to identify problems accumulated in a long term which concern enterprises and may hinder their development, and to seek solutions from the following aspects like improvement of the whole industry, long-term construction and development of the industry, and improvement of skills and tech endowment of industrial professionals and reinforced coordination with competent government authorities; that priority should be placed on solutions to problems crucially affecting development of the industry ; that policies and instructions from governments and competent administrative authorities should be taken as power and security measures for industry development; that BCDA should get closer to the frontier of the industry as to understand enterprises’ demands and problems and help promote their development; that BCDA should continue to strengthen self-construction, improve its service and build a common platform for its members, so as to make the association a true family of all members, better serve industrial development and to construct a harmonious Beijing.

In the end, Honorary Chairman Wang Zongli made important remarks. He firstly highly appreciated the performance of the association during the past year, and then elaborated on the special significance, objectives and major tasks of BCDA’s work facing the new situation, in which he emphasized the direct constructive role of Executive Vice Chairman Joint Council model in terms of democratic construction of the association, management of BCDA with expertise in a scientific manner. He indicated that, based on the work of previous term, this term had made innovations and great improvement, interacted more proactively with government authorities and tightened connections with enterprises, and that the establishment of the service platform brought new vitality to the overall industry development.

In summary, this council adhered to the Joint Council Constitution approved at the first session and the tenet of democratic operation and management of the association with expertise in a scientific manner. With a principle of actively involving in discussion and making concerted effort to solve problems, all participants made in-depth and extensive study and discourse on current key problems existing in the member institutions and industrial trends. Further, this session fulfilled its goal of reaching common understanding, exchanging ideas, seeking mutual development and promoting corporation with regard to topics defined before the session, all of which will provide guidance for decision making for future development of decoration industry.
