CBDF Magazine Interviewed China National Decoration Co., Ltd

In the galloping modern society, decoration and design has become an industry where arts and technology are combined and culture and economy integrated. While this industry is recognized and accepted, it also becomes an important symbol for social development, environmental change and improvement of people’s living conditions. In an age of high speed, it’s the responsibility of every enterprise to unite all sides of the society, to build up an improved, effective and authoritative platform on the stage of building decoration & design in China to promote all-round development of China’s decoration design.

Recently, top leaders and some designers of China Decoration were interviewed by the team of China Building Decoration and Finishing Magazine (shorted as CBDF) upon invitation.

Decoration & design parallel in terms of its importance.

During interview, Mr. Li Jiefeng, chairman of China National Decoration Co., Ltd and president of CBDF Magazine, expressed that decoration industry was a newly emerging industry of fierce competition, and that the company was always exploring a way to avoid the red sea of competition, seek innovation and develop new market as to improve core competitiveness of the enterprise.

China National Decoration Co., Ltd has developed more than 27 years. While consolidating its foundation in decoration and ancillary construction, it is making great effort to strengthen its design skills.

Conception of design: see micro from macro and see macro from micro things

Mr. Wang Jiansong, lecturer of Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, and vice president of China Decoration Design Institute remarked when talking about how to improve design efficiency: a manager of a design program should take the whole program under control in terms of competency, division of work and organization so as to realize design conception and target. That is, social observation should be taken into consideration during design, ability of the design team be optimized and the program well staffed and organized to achieve overall design target.

Covering the practice of building decoration design and design teaching process, Mr. Wang had very prospective and experiential opinions that from design education to design practice, design education shall leverage macro aspect with micro by attention to details.
