Mr. Li Jiefeng Went to Xiamen for 1st Presidents’ Meeting of 7th Council of CBDA

Recently, China Building Decoration Association (CBDA) convened its 1st presidents’ work meeting of 7th council in Xiamen, which Mr. Li Jiefeng, chairman of board of directors of China National Decoration Co., Ltd and vice president of CBDA attended. It’s the first presidents’ meeting since establishment of 7th council which had 9 more vice presidents and 3 honorary presidents. Moreover, some presidents of such associations at provincial and municipal levels were also invited, making this meeting accommodate the most people, the largest in terms of its scale and cover the most disciplines.

The meeting designed to establish president meeting mechanism to make vice presidents fully play their role with respect to promoting industrial development and association construction, which fully reflects the tenet of managing and running the association by entrepreneurs, so that the association is able to take social need into concern, offer satisfactory service and regulate its conducts. Since 2003, 8 presidents’ meeting have been convened and 6 since 2006. This is a mature work mechanism for CBDA.

At the meeting, a report of 2011’s work of secretariat of CBDA was made by Mr. Liu Xiaoyi, Secretary of the association, and reviewed by other participants. The vice presidents also studied forthcoming work for 2012 by expressing their opinions and giving suggestions.

2011, 1st year of 12th 5-year plan, is drawing to its end in a complicated national and international political and economic background with many uncertainties, but the whole building decoration industry is anticipated to grow by 12% over the last year, with a production value of 2,350 billion Yuan, which is an achievement of the joint effort of the whole industry.
