Top 100 Enterprises Contend in Jiaxing & Demonstrate Soft Power

In the 24th of golden October, press conference for assessment of 2010’s top-100 decoration enterprises in China’s decoration industry & top-100 decoration enterprises summit were held in Jiaxing of Zhejiang Province, of which the attendance include Mr. Zhang Enshu, honorary president of China Building Decoration Association (CBDA), Mr. Li Bingren, president of CBDA, and Mr. Liu Xiaoyi, vice president and secretary general, Mr. Liu Yuan, chief engineer, Mr. Fan Jianping, vice director of Bureau of Housing and Rural-urban Development of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Yuan Zhirong, president of Zhejiang Building Decoration Association. Principals of 2010’s top 100 decoration enterprises, famous national and international construction material enterprises and local decoration associations attended the meeting, including Mr. Li Jiefeng, chairman of board of directors of China National Decoration Co., Ltd.

Assessment of top 100 China’s building decoration enterprises has been widely recognized by decoration industry and owners of projects, which has far-reaching social influence. Title of top-100 decoration enterprise has been regarded as an important precondition, even a necessity for bidding of large-scale building decoration projects. Decoration and finishing projects for the gym of 2008’s Beijing Olympics, 2010’s Shanghai World Expo Hall, and the stadium for Shenzhen’s Universiade of this year were all undertaken by top-100 decoration enterprises. China Decoration continually ranked 19th among the top 100 this year.

At the summit, the elite managers of top-100 enterprises centered on “soft power of building decoration enterprises” to make wide and deep discussion of high-level factors affecting development of enterprises. They made “soft power of enterprises” the key topic because most of them find that even the enterprises have undergone rapid expansion in hard power in terms of capital, equipment, facilities and human resource, soft power including management pattern, innovation capability, brand image, industrial chain operation capacity is becoming obstacles hindering further expansion of enterprises, rendering a bottle neck for many enterprises.

Reportedly, to further reinforce its social influence of top-100 decoration enterprises assessment, an office of Top-100 Assessment was set up in secretariat of CBDA to guide and instruct top-100 enterprise assessment.
