2009 China Interior Decoration Industry Seminar

On July 15, 2009, China Interior Decoration Industry Seminar organized by China National Interior Decoration Association lasting for three days was opened in Chifeng of Inner Mongolia to discuss the following:

1. To implement “Adjustment and Revitalization Plan for Light Industry” made by the State Council and learn ways of structure adjustment and revitalization for interior decoration industry;

2. To exchange work experience of each local association to confront international financial crisis and strengthen services to enterprises.

At the seminar, all participants extensively exchanged ideas around the guideline in “Adjustment and Revitalization Plan for Light Industry” and based on status quo of China decoration industry, and many proposed valuable suggestions and measures with their own experience.

Li Jiefeng – Vice President of China National Interior Decoration Association and Chairman of China National Decoration Co., Ltd. – gave a speech with topic of “Some Suggestions on Countermeasures of Decoration Industry against International Financial Crisis” and put forward 8 points below:

1. To strengthen strategy adjustment: at the very moment, we need to change along with conditions change and adopt proper countermeasures;

2. To promote quality: enterprise can only survive in the crisis with products of good quality;

3. To strengthen risk control: enterprise shall identify potential risks and adopt measures in advance to avoid such risks;

4. To strengthen cost management: before the crisis, enterprise shall strengthen cost awareness and monitor all expenditures during production and operation;

5. To strengthen capital management: to strengthen risk management and intensify financing;

6. To strengthen market development: to adjust operation methods in time, expand business, and explore market potential;

7. To make proper investment: enterprise of strength may merge and expand investment at low costs properly;

8. To strengthen cultural construction: to build and perfect enterprise culture and strengthen cohesiveness of employees to solve all difficulties.

In general, we shall be confident about ourselves, as “confidence is more valuable than gold and funds”; so long as we work together and make proper strategic adjustment, we will surely overcome current difficulties for tomorrow’s new journey of glory!
