Expert Group Reexamined China Decoration’s Projects out of Beijing for Assessment

From October 13th to 16th, an expert group for qualified project assessment from Beijing Construction Decoration Association (BCDA) went to Jiangsun Province, Shanghai and Taizhou to reexamine and review projects undertaken by China National Decoration Co., Ltd which submitted these projects for qualified projects assessment. The group was accompanied by Mr. Lu Mingjun, vice chief engineer of China Decoration.

Projects reexamined by the expert group include Yancheng Business Promotion Center, International Trade Oriental Hotel of Taizhou Yaocheng and Tongli Tower in Shanghai. Specialists from building decoration industry such as excellent designers, experts of plumbing, decoration and finishing, and civil work rigorously examined, inquired, and reviewed these to-be-assessed projects from different respects like trades, and acceptance standard for construction project, technical indicators and workmanship and gave some guidance and instructions.

The Hotel Project is located in China Medical City of Yaocheng Avenue of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, a frame structure with a decoration and alteration area of 14,300 m2. When the decoration projects commenced, a quality control team was established and post accountability system was formulated in accordance with GB/T19001 Standard and company’s policies to specify responsibilities of each member and every function, which were finalized onto each managerial person, thus constituting a quality management network covering project manager and discipline principals, making every person aware of their duties and work conscientiously and forming a self-controlled system in which everyone assumed his/her own duty.

Shanghai Tongli Tower Project was titled “2010’s Demonstration Projects of Civilized Construction Site in Shanghai” by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Rural-urban Construction and Transportation.

Yancheng Business Promotion Center: Design of the center is featured by simplicity and practicality to maximize its internal space; for office area, humanistic orientation was taken into consideration for its design, and importance is placed on matching of color, materials and lighting, making the area sedate, elegant while bright and comfortable. After decoration, there is smooth transition and combination between lines and surfaces, demonstrating authenticity of materials and exquisite workmanship, making the whole center fashionable, splendid, modern, fresh and harmonious.

After comprehensive appraisal, these projects are found compliant with design purpose, and their construction quality meets relevant quality standards and requirements. These projects were accepted upon completion.

The expert group gave high remarks for these to-be-assessed projects. They also hope that assessment of excellent projects will promote exchange and study of construction experience of excellent decoration projects between enterprises, and to drive innovation and application of new construction method, new technology and new materials, so as to achieve sustainable development of enterprises of decoration industry and create more excellent and refined projects.

These experts for this reexamination were warmed received and deliberately entertained by respective project departments and the assessment completed in success.
